Ashley Cogswell

Ashley has been a legal assistant at DGW Law since April, 2012. In March 2022 she transitioned to the management team as Firm Administrator after the departure of our long-time office manager.

Ashley started her career at a small criminal defence firm in 2002, and later worked at firms practising insurance litigation, real estate, employment, and human rights law, before arriving at DGW Law in 2012.

Ashley is the litigation and document management guru here at DGW Law. She was the lead legal assistant for the Plaintiffs in the first ever fully electronic trial in Victoria, that spanned 60 days between 2014 and 2016. Ashley was in court daily and was an integral part of the technology team that made this trial a success.

She also helps edit and manage content for DGW’s website and social media pages.

In her spare time Ashley likes to explore Vancouver Island with her daughter. She has been known to dive with great white sharks and fly airplanes for fun. She also plays a mediocre game of golf.
